Our Angelversary Gala is planned with the endless and timeless love we have in our hearts for Maggie.

2024 Seven in heaven angelversary gala, friday May 31st

Our Angelversary Gala was held at the stunning Vanderbilt Museum & Planetarium in Centerport in the place where Maggie would have had her prom photos taken had she lived long enough.

Great weather blessed us, as well as an amazing team of volunteers this year to help with setup. A huge thank you to the team from Neuberger Berman for their volunteer efforts, we couldn’t have done it without you!

We were treated to live music during cocktails in the courtyard by local teacher Joe Acquaviva and his band mates. Mr. Acquaviva is Belle Svoboda’s teacher. Belle is a beautiful young girl from Centerport, diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma cancer in her left leg. Belle was recently declared cancer free following an amputation of her left leg and numerous rounds of chemotherapy. Belle and her family are amazing, follow her journey here.

At least 12 families directly impacted by pediatric cancers joined us at this year’s gala. We watched as they enjoyed the evening with us commemorating Maggie’s love of life and children. Dr. Alex Kentsis from Memorial Sloan Kettering spoke about the progress MSK is making towards finding better treatment options with our support (and yours).

There was live music, palm trees, face painting, flower crowns, pink shades donated by Hampton’s Water, LED dancing robots, and some silliness in the form of a cute mini rooster named Romeo. There were tears, there was joy, and there was a whole lot of dancing! Rumor has it, we are already planning next year’s event with an even more exciting theme. Is that possible? YES!

It’s never too early to sign on as a sponsor! Email us at info@maggiesmission.org

Thank you to our sponsors and supporters of the evening!

If you’re not having fun at our events meant to celebrate life and fundraise to find cures, we’re not doing it right.
