On #GivingTuesday, November 29th, Maggie’s Mission invites you to give back.
You know the saying - Thank God it’s Giving Tuesday… well, maybe not because we made it up for the Tuesday after Thanksgiving that has now become a dedicated day of giving worldwide. We’re calling it #TGIGT for short. It’s exactly what Maggie’s Mission has done as a foundation since losing our only daughter. Our tagline is Maggie Gives Back and we are super serious about it. Because before Maggie died, she asked us to help save other children from suffering.
We give by funding research to find cures. To date, over $1.6 million dollars toward a ground breaking study on the causes of the rare and aggressive cancer that took Maggie’s life - MRT. With that knowledge, the Doctors and Scientists can target therapies for cures. We help families with children affected by pediatric cancer wherever and however we can, providing over $184,000 in financial assistance. We’ve hosted a blood drive (with more on the way), and have provided 36 meals and filled almost 2,000 tummies to families staying at Ronald McDonald House in NYC, where we ourselves ate many a meal while Maggie was in treatment.
