How this one plays

The roles are reversed here. You are not the one being chased but the shark crossing open water in search of a meal. Nothing follows you and nothing forces the pace. The task is to pick a target and close on it in your own time.

The sensation is nothing like being the prey. The tension disappears and is replaced by a feeling of control over everything on screen. Players who arrive tense from the chasing games often say this one feels liberating, even though the steering hardly differs at all.

What remains demanding is target selection. Prey near the surface is easy to reach and worth little; prey further down requires a long descent with plenty of chances to lose the moment on the way. There are still decisions throughout, they simply are not made under fear the way they are on the other side of the exchange.
