Supercars Puzzle

A photograph of a sports car is cut into pieces and shuffled. Your job is to drag each one home until the picture is whole again. This is a genuine jigsaw with no timer and no interruptions, which sets it apart from the other car titles on the shelf that all measure reaction speed.

The method is the same one that works on a kitchen table. Begin with the edge pieces, which announce their position with a straight side. Close the frame first, then work inward, keeping pieces of similar colour or pattern grouped together. Wheels and mirrors tend to be the easiest landmarks to find.

What makes a car photograph especially good to assemble is the combination of long curves and reflective panels. Both give neighbouring pieces visible traces to match against, unlike a flat expanse of single colour, which is every jigsaw solver's nightmare.
