How this one plays

Thick-lined cartoon sweets sit on the board waiting to be matched. The rules break no new ground, but the drawing is the real reason to open it. Every piece carries a heavy black outline, the colours clash on purpose, and several of the sweets have faces of their own.

That style fits this site so neatly that it is probably part of why the title is here at all. Bold outlines and hard shadows are the same language used across the rest of the pages, so moving from the front page into a round does not feel like stepping into a different world. Designers care about that far more than most players consciously notice.

An unintended benefit follows: clarity on a small screen. Pieces separated by a black edge never blend into the background, even shrunk to a few dozen pixels across. Soft, gently shaded artwork loses that fight quickly, and neighbouring pieces start to look interchangeable.
