Easter Memory

Brightly decorated Easter eggs lie face down in rows: dots, bands, zigzags and small flowers. The seasonal palette is laid on generously, which makes the screen livelier than versions of the same idea drawn in plain shapes.

Artwork of this kind matters more to young players than adults tend to assume. A child who bores quickly will stay with a board that offers something to look at, and staying longer raises the odds of finishing the board at all. Prettiness is therefore not a superficial concern for this group of games.

The other thing that suits family play is the modest board size. A round ends soon enough that a child does not run out of patience partway, and short enough that an adult can sit down to join in without feeling the whole evening has been signed away.
